Cover all the children in your family

Your children and grandchildren age 15 days through 25 years old may qualify for MOAA Youth Life coverage. You can choose from 3 benefit options.

One time premium payment

For each child, you pay just a one-time premium of $75 for the $2,000 Youth Life Benefit Amount, $150 for the $5,000 Youth Life Benefit Amount, or $300 for the $10,000 Youth Life Benefit Amount – it’s your choice.

Coverage that grows as they grow

Every birthday makes this coverage more valuable. The Benefit Amount begins modestly at $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000 depending on what benefit amount you choose. After that, the Benefit Amount increases every year. The MOAA Youth Life coverage keeps growing until age 26 when your children or grandchildren are insured for $2,000, $5,000 or $10,000. The following table shows how the benefit amount grows each year.

Conversion Privilege for coverage as adults

Today, some young Americans who reach adulthood cannot get life insurance because of an illness or injury they had as children or because of conditions in their work environment. Others must pay higher premiums to get the life coverage they need to protect their family.

Through the MOAA Youth Group Term Life Insurance, you can help build a foundation for your children’s and grandchildren’s future. At age 26, your children or grandchildren will be given the guaranteed option to change their MOAA Youth Life insurance to $10,000 or $20,000* of individual whole life insurance with cash values purchased directly from New York Life Insurance Company. The child will need to notify the plan administrator, AMBA, within 31 days of turning age 26. Additional premiums will be charged for coverage under the whole life policy.

*$20,000 conversion privilege available only with $5,000 and $10,000 MOAA Youth Group Term Life Insurance.
